Nicky & Gary welcome you...
Featured as a Lucky Dip in the Good Pub Guide.
Less than three miles from Banbury and upon the scenic road to Stratford upon Avon, lies the beautiful village of Wroxton.
The North Arms is a very pretty 17th Century inn with a thatched roof, which stands in the middle of the village and is surrounded by many thatched roofs cottages. The local duck pond is not only home to a few ducks, but is also full of fish. To the rear of the pub there is a very pretty garden with lots of wooden tables and chairs, and near by stands Wroxton College situated in its own beautiful grounds.
Inside the North Arms there are old oak black beams, two fire places where you will see hanging hand painter pot and pans from canal barges. On the wall in the Bar you will see framed "The Kalabergo Story", an interesting story which will take you back to the Napoleonic war.
The population of the village is about 300. It has a fine Church of England Parish Church, a Roman Catholic Church (one of the few thatched RC churches in England), a Methodist Chapel, a Village Hall and a C.E. Primary School situated near the centre of this lovely village.
Taken over in January 2007 by Nicky and Gary, the North Arms is the perfect traditional old English pub retreat where you will find a warm welcome, real ales, fine wines, and great food.
We hope to see you soon.
